Job summary

Distinction, LLC operates the St. Louis Job Corps Center and is seeking a compassionate LVN/LPN to support student health and well-being in a structured center environment.

In this role, you will provide nursing care, conduct health assessments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote safe, healthy campus living for students. The position offers paid holidays, training days, and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Active LVN/LPN license in the state where the center is located.
• Minimum of 1 year of LVN/LPN experience.
• Active, unrestricted license to practice in the state.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care in line with the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Conduct health assessments, wellness screenings, and orientation.
• Review lab results and coordinate follow-up with medical providers.
• Document health encounters accurately and maintain confidential records.

About the role

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM - WEEKENDS OFF!
Pay: Hourly | Service Contract Act (SCA) Covered Position

$5,000 Sign-On Bonus!

Join our team and receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus :

• 20% paid on 1st check
• 40% paid at 3 months
• 40% paid at 6 months

Additionally:

Employees who receive the initial sign-on bonus payment must remain employed for at least 12 months. Employees who voluntarily separate before completing six months of employment will be required to repay the initial bonus payment.

What You'll Do

As a member of our Health & Wellness team, you'll play a vital role in supporting the physical and emotional well-being of our students by:

• Providing compassionate nursing care in accordance with your state's Nurse Practice Act.
• Conducting health assessments, walk-in evaluations, and wellness screenings.
• Assisting with new student physical assessments and health orientations.
• Reviewing laboratory results and collaborating with the Center Physician or medical provider on follow-up care.
• Developing individualized wellness plans and educating students on healthy lifestyle choices.
• Leading wellness education groups and providing one-on-one health counseling.
• Maintaining infection prevention and control standards, including proper handling of medical equipment and specimens.
• Accurately documenting student health encounters and maintaining confidential medical records.
• Working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to promote a safe, healthy, and supportive campus environment.
• Supporting a culture of respect, inclusion, accountability, and student success.

Qualifications
