Job summary

Sentara Internal Medicine Kempsville is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our physician practice in Norfolk, VA. This full-time, day shift role supports providers by rooming patients, taking vital signs, administering medications and immunizations, and collecting specimens in an ambulatory setting.

You will help with patient education, ensure accurate documentation in the EHR, and assist with procedures while coordinating with medical assistants and the care team.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program leading to LPN/LVN eligibility.
• LPN/LVN license in good standing and NCLEX-PN completion.
• 1–2 years of ambulatory or outpatient nursing preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, measure vitals, document in EHR.
• Administer medications and immunizations within scope.
• Collect blood specimens and perform simple tests.
• Prepare rooms and assist with exams/procedures.
• Provide patient education and follow-up guidance.
