Job summary

The Institute for Family Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for a full-time, non-exempt ambulatory care position at our New York facility. You will deliver safe, quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and collaborate with a care team.

Responsibilities include performing treatments, EKGs, venipuncture, medication administration, vital signs, and documenting results. NY State LPN license required; 1–2 years of ambulatory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate of completion from a practical nurse course of study.
• Minimum 1–2 years of ambulatory experience preferred.
• Demonstrated clinical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated venipuncture and medication administration abilities including immunizations.
• Current NYS LPN license and registration; BCLS and infection control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe, quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Collaborates with the designated care team to achieve goals.
• Performs treatments, EKGs, phlebotomy, IVs and monitors patient responses.
• Collects specimens, records vital signs, and documents accurately.
