Job summary
The Pavilion at Queens for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Flushing, NY is seeking a reliable Licensed Practical Nurse to join our skilled nursing team. You will provide care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and unit supervisor in a 302-bed facility, delivering compassionate, patient-centered nursing to residents.
Candidates must be currently NY-licensed LPN, demonstrate leadership and teamwork, and possess attention to detail to recognize condition changes and coordinate unit operations.
Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Take and record measurements (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.).
- Observe residents under treatment to identify progress and medication effects.
- Monitor residents’ condition including intake/output and charting.
- Administer injections, prescribed meds, enemas, clean and dress wounds.
- Collect samples for lab testing as assigned.
- Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
- Communicate with residents' family to provide advice and release instructions.

The Pavilion at Queens is a 302-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in Flushing, Queens. Our mission is to provide the highest level of care for each of our residents. The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing a variety of care practices under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or Unit Supervisor.
The purpose of your job as a Licensed Practical Nurse is to perform a variety of care practices under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or Supervisor of the unit/shift. This includes, but not limited to:
- Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
- Observe residents under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
- Monitor residents’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts.
- Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds.
- Collect samples for lab testing as assigned.
- Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
- Communicate with residents’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.
- Currently licensed by the State of New York
- Possesses leadership and supervisory qualities
- Possesses attention to detail and observation skills that enable the recognition of condition changes in the resident
- Ability to coordinate all functions in the operation of a resident unit through effective team nursing assignments
