AdventHealth Daytona Beach is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift. The role requires assessing patients, developing care plans, administering treatments, and coordinating with the care team to ensure quality outcomes.

You will educate patients and families, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in ongoing professional development. Florida RN licensure and BLS are required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license (required) and CPR/BLS certified.
• Associate degree in Nursing is required; bachelor's preferred.
• 1+ year in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, evaluat ing and revising as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders, monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
• Document care activities accurately in the medical record.
• Evaluate outcomes and adjust plans to improve patient health.
• Ensure infection control, safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise care provided by team members and participate in performance improvement.

Job Description:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and interventions continuously, making necessary adjustments to improve patient health and achieve positive outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe healthcare environment.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and their families, addressing their emotional and psychological needs.
• Supervise and delegate care provided by members of the healthcare team to ensure quality and efficiency.
