Job summary

Allegheny Health Network, part of Highmark Health, seeks an LPN to join the direct care healthcare team. You will provide patient-centered nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse, support during examinations, and assist with procedures and tests within your licensure scope.

Responsibilities include obtaining patient data, documenting in the chart, and coordinating with providers. Requirement: LPN license (eNLC), High School diploma, and CPR certification; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• LPN license or current multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• High School diploma or GED completed.
• CPR certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• Knowledge of EPIC documentation and assessment process.

Responsibilities

• Performs general nursing care within the LPN scope of practice.
• Assists with preparation of equipment and supports the clinical provider during treatment, exams, and testing.
• Collects assessment data, documents in patient records, and reports changes to the RN/APP/physician.
• Orders or assists with diagnostic tests and reviews results with provider as directed.
• Schedules procedures and assists with basic nursing tasks such as medication administration and specimen collection.
