Job summary

Optum, a part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks an LPN for adult medicine - administrative in Henderson, NV. This role offers a $4,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates and a daytime schedule with no weekends, nights, or holidays.

Responsibilities include collecting patient information, providing clinical interventions, assisting with calls, coordinating with the team, and maintaining compliance. Requirements include NV LPN license, CPR/BLS, high school diploma, and 1+ year of primary care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current, unrestricted NV LPN license or temporary NV LPN license with ability to obtain permanent NV LPN license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
• 1+ years of clinical experience in primary care is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document patient information including vital signs, chief complaint, medications, allergies and health risk screen information.
• Provide clinical interventions such as drug administration, treatments and procedures as ordered by provider.
• Assist with phone calls and messages.
• Coordinate with team to assign accountabilities to resolve patient needs.
• Monitor patients with chronic disease and verify eligibility and status of services.
• Assist RN with patient exam preparation and care planning.
• Support coworkers and train medical assistants as needed.
• Maintain compliance tasks such as laboratory QC, waive testing, crash cart and narcotic count.
• Gather medical information to present cases to ITDs as required.
• Perform other duties as required.

This LPN position is in adult medicine - administrative

Location: 2845 SIENA HEIGHTS, Henderson, NV

No weekends, nights or holidays.

Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:

• Collection and documentation of patient information to include vital signs, chief compliant, review of medications, allergies health risk screen information, status of extended care benefits and other services
• Provide clinical intervention such as drug administration, treatments, and procedures as ordered by provider and within scope of practice
• Assist with phone calls and messages
• Determine best actions and collaborate with team to assign accountabilities to resolve
• Participate in monitoring patients with chronic disease and extended care benefits including verification of eligibility and status of services
• Anticipate provider needs for patient exam or treatment in collaboration with RN
• Assist RN with the coordination and completion of patient care plan
• Assist coworkers with duties when requested to include training of medical assistants and assisting in areas as needed
• Compliance requirements such as laboratory QC management, waive testing, maintenance of crash cart and narcotic count as well as other requirements dictated by clinic needs
• Gather medical information as needed to present cases to ITDs as required
• Other responsibilities as required

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Current, unrestricted NV LPN license or temporary NV LPN license with the ability to obtain permanent NV LPN license upon expiration of temporary NV LPN license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• 1+ years of clinical experience in primary care

Preferred Qualifications:

• Electronic medical records (EMR) experience
• Immunization and injection experience
• Charge or leadership experience
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 to $36.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
