Job summary

Kindred Hospital Denver is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in our 68-bed hospital and ARU. The role focuses on medication administration, patient care, and collaboration with the care team.

Responsibilities include supporting rehab plans, pain management, and educating patients and families while maintaining safety and quality of care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum six months’ acute care experience preferred.
• IV Therapy and Blood Certifications preferred.
• ACLS may be required in certain care areas.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and patient care under RN supervision.
• Communicates patient status to the RN.
• Manages pain and educates patient and family.
• Assists with rehab and treatment per plan.
• Supports physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Ensures patient safety and reduces errors.
• Addresses psychosocial and cultural needs.
• Documents status and plan of care with the team.
