Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Acute Care Unit. The role supports adult patients with a 31-bed unit, practicing 3x12 shifts (7a–7p) with weekend rotation, aiming to deliver high-quality and compassionate care.

The LPN will perform patient assessments, initiate nursing interventions, document medical records, and participate in the interdisciplinary care plan.

Qualifications

• Current state LPN license.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
