Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN/LVN) to deliver direct and indirect patient care in a busy medical-surgical unit. The role requires effective communication with physicians, nurses, and the care team to monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition.

Ideal candidates will hold Nevada LPN/LVN licensure, current BLS, IV certification, and have at least one year of LPN experience; acute care experience is preferred

Qualifications

• Current LPN/LVN licensure in Nevada.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current IV Certification required.
• At least one year LPN experience.
• Acute Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting.
• Communicates with physicians/nurse manager/co-workers about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment; performs general nursing duties with supervision.
