Job summary

UPMC Mercy Health Center is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to support its 6F Stroke Rehab department in Pittsburgh. Title/salary determined by experience, with a generous sign-on bonus for new graduates and experienced LPNs.

A work commitment may be required for bonus eligibility, and the hospital emphasizes cutting-edge stroke rehabilitation care. The LPN will function within a multidisciplinary team, providing nursing care, participating in care planning, and collaborating

Qualifications

Active LPN license in PA.
Experience in rehab or inpatient settings preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Provide skilled nursing care consistent with patient needs.
Participate in planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
Communicate with health care team to seek guidance when needed.
Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
Assist in transitioning patients through episode of care and discharge planning.
Mentor and support new staff and student learners.
