Job summary

Advanced Correctional Healthcare seeks a licensed practical nurse for the Richland County Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Columbia, SC. This full-time role on the 3rd shift delivers on-site nursing care to incarcerated patients, administers medications, and documents care in the medical record.

You will assess vital signs, coordinate with practitioners and security staff, provide educational guidance, and maintain HIPAA compliance while supporting CQI efforts.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state in which services are to be provided, in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the LPN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver nursing care to patients on the 3rd shift.
• Administer prescribed medication and treatments as ordered.
• Record data in patient charts and CQI documents.
• Provide patient education and coordinate with practitioners.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA practices.
• Collaborate with medical and security staff for care coordination.
