Job summary

Ro Health, LLC is seeking school health nurses for the Wilmington, NC area. Positions available include Full Time (>30 hrs/week) and Per Diem (1-2 days/week minimum) with school-hour shifts typically 7:00am–3/4:00pm.

Responsibilities include 1:1 care, chronic condition management, emergency response, and coordination with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers. PTO and benefits are provided, with orientation and supervisor support.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina Nursing License (Active Compact License Acceptable)
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Current Negative TB Result

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with students in school settings to support health needs
• Coordinate care for students with chronic conditions with families and providers
• Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries or sudden illness
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and drills
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records
• Communicate with parents about student health and follow-up care
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods; occasional bending and lifting up to 40 pounds

Overview:

• Specialty: School Health, Pediatrics, Special Education
• Locations available include: Wilmington, Brunswick, Burgaw, and the surrounding regions
• Positions Available:
  • Full Time (>30 hrs/week)
  • Per Diem (1-2 days/week availability minimum)
• Shift: May vary, approximately school hours, anywhere between 7:00am-3/4:00pm.
• Days: Monday through Friday, no holidays, weekends, or nights
• Target Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities may include:

• Working 1:1 with a patient directly in the school with one or more of the following conditions (G-tube, trach, catheter, diabetes, seizures, vision impairments, wheelchair bound, etc)
• Manage the care of students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes) by coordinating with healthcare providers, teachers, and parents
• Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries or sudden illnesses
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and drills
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records
• Communicate with parents regarding their child's health status, concerns, and recommended follow-up care
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time
• Potential need to frequently bend, crouch, and lift (up to 40 pounds)

Qualifications:

• Active, North Carolina Nursing License (Active Compact License Acceptable)
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Current Negative TB Result
