Job summary

East End Surgical-Southampton is hiring an LPN to join a team in a private office setting with physician supervision. Expect travel to Mattituck, Southampton, Center Moriches and other sites while delivering patient care.

The role requires a NY LPN license, at least one year of nursing experience, CPR/AED, and proficiency with EMR. Responsibilities include exams, vaccines, and patient education, with HIPAA confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

• Vascular experience required.

• One year of professional experience.
• CPR/AED Certified.
• Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records.
• Excellent communication, decision making, leadership and problem solving skills.
• Supervisory experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in the exam room and document reason for visit.
• Measure height, weight, BP, pulse and temperature.
• Perform hearing and vision tests; do spirometry and EKGs.
• Gather/update patient information in the EMR.
• Assist physician with procedures and exams.
• Collect blood and lab specimens.
• Prepare and administer vaccines and medications per orders.
• Obtain results from outside labs and radiology.
• Educate patients on treatments and medications.
• Stock rooms and order supplies.
• Call patients as ordered by physician.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Travel to all five locations: Southampton, Southold, Hampton Bays, Center Moriches, Riverhead.

Job Summary

We are looking for an LPN to work in a private office setting which requires specialized knowledge, clinical judgment and nursing skills. The LPN is part of a team using patient care skills to meet established practice guidelines, office policies and regulatory standards, under supervision of the physician assistant, nurse practitioner or physician. Essential Job Functions

Observe patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.

Complete other tasks as directed by physician.

Physical Demands

May spend a great deal of their professional day walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies. Ability to lift 20 pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients or objects may involve lifting of up to 50 pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds. Requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend or twist their body, as well as visual acuity.
