Otterbein Tipp City is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for full-time days, part-time nights, and PRN positions. The role focuses on direct resident care, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current LPN/LVN licensure in state.
• Current CPR certification.
• CEU’s as required by the State.

Responsibilities

• Assesses residents by physical examination and pertinent diagnostics to determine health status.
• Administers medications and treatments.
• Supervises LPNs and CNAs.
• Communicates with physicians regarding changes in residents’ conditions and test results.
• Documents assessments and care in compliance with standards and policy.
• Educates residents and families on health-related issues.
• Completes required forms and documents per policy and state/federal regulations.
• Promotes dignified, compassionate care for elders.

Shift: Full-time Days & Part-time Night Shift, PRN

Responsibilities

• Assesses residents by physical examination, including pertinent diagnostic testing to determine health status.
• Administers medications and treatments.
• Supervises LPNs and certified nursing assistants.
• Communicates with physicians regarding changes in resident’s conditions, diagnostic test results, etc.
• Documents assessments and care in compliance with standards of care and company policy.
• Educates residents and their families on health-related issues.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and State and/or Federal regulations.
• Communicating a sense of caring, concern, and dignity for elders
• Recognizing the autonomy and dignity of all elders
• Understanding how to place decision-making in the hands of the elders
• Focusing on providing high-quality service and care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid state licensure as an LPN/LVN.
• Current CPR certification.
• CEU’s as required by the State.
