Job summary

Adams Health Network is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for its Decatur location. The LPN will provide patient care and support, assist with examinations, and manage office tasks under physician direction.

The role requires a valid LPN license from Indiana and offers benefits starting on the first day of employment. Candidates should have experience in a physician's office and hold BLS/CPR certification.

Description

The LPN cares for and treats patients in a medical office, as directed by the provider. Prepares the patient for and assists with examinations. Administers injections and medications, dresses wounds and incisions, interprets physician instructions to patients, assists with emergency and minor surgery and performs related tasks as directed. Under the direction of the physician, the office nurse is responsible for receiving and triaging incoming calls requiring a nurse assessment and intervention. Maintains records of vital statistics and other pertinent patient data. Cleans and sterilizes instruments and equipment and maintains stock of supplies. May conduct specified laboratory tests, may record and develop electrocardiograms, and may act as a receptionist, perform secretarial duties and prepare monthly statements.

Eligible for medical coverage on your first day of employment, all other benefits will be effective the 1st of the month following hire date!

Requirements

• 36 hours per week - First Shift
• Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Valid LPN license in the State of Indiana
• BLS/CPR Certification Required
• Physician Office Experience Preferred
