Job summary

Distinction, LLC in Missouri oversees the St. Louis Job Corps Center and seeks a compassionate LVN/LPN to join the Health & Wellness team. You must hold a state LVN/LPN license, have 1+ year of nursing experience, and be organized to manage student health needs.

Work Mon-Fri, 8:00–5:00 or 9:00–6:00 with weekends off, paid hourly at $30–$32.60 and a Service Contract Act-covered position. You will support health education, wellness screenings, and coordinate with Center physicians while

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care in accordance with the state's Nurse Practice Act.
• Conduct health assessments, walk-in evaluations, and wellness screenings.
• Assist with new student physicals and health orientations.
• Review laboratory results and follow up with the Center Physician or medical provider.
• Develop individualized wellness plans and educate students on healthy lifestyle choices.
• Lead wellness education groups and provide one-on-one health counseling.
• Maintain infection prevention and control standards and proper handling of medical equipment and specimens.
• Document student health encounters and maintain confidential medical records.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote a safe, healthy campus environment.
• Support a culture of respect, inclusion, accountability, and student success.

About the role

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PMor9:00 AM–6:00 PM - WEEKENDS OFF!
Pay: Hourly | Service Contract Act (SCA) Covered Position

$5,000 Sign-On Bonus!

Join our team and receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus :

• 50% paid on 1st check
• 50% paid after six months of continuous employment

Employees who receive the initial sign-on bonus payment must remain employed for at least six (6) months. Employees who voluntarily separate before completing six months of employment will be required to repay the initial bonus payment.

What You'll Do

As a member of our Health & Wellness team, you'll play a vital role in supporting the physical and emotional well-being of our students by:
