Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for San Luis Obispo, CA. The role requires an active CA LPN license, BLS, and at least one year of recent LPN experience.

You will provide direct patient care, administer medications, monitor vitals, and document in the EMR, while upholding safety and regulatory standards. The position offers a night shift (12-hour) with local pay at $49.00/hour (W2) plus travel pay options and comprehensive benefits after 60 days,

Qualifications

• Current, valid and unrestricted CA LPN license in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of recent LPN work experience (within last 3 years).
• A degree from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Active BLS certification.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency if required.
• Copy of current required certifications and compliance documents (BLS, N95, immunizations, TB, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of RN or physician.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and record vital signs; report changes.
• Assist with assessments and implement care plans.
• Perform wound care, specimen collection and basic nursing procedures.
• Document patient care accurately in EMR.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and treatment plans.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, therapeutic environment.
• Follow facility policies, infection control protocols and regulatory standards.

Local Pay: $49.00/hour - (W2)

Travel Pay:

Travel Rate (based on 36 hours): Hourly $20.20, Stipend (Lodging $840.00 + M&I $357.00) = $1,197.00,

Total Comp: $1,924.20

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties & Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current, valid, and unrestrictedCA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of one (1) yearof recent work experience as an LPN within the last 3 years
• A degree from an accredited school of Nursing
• Active BLS
• Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
