Job summary

Medctrbarbour is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a clinical setting under supervision. You will work to support physicians and multidisciplinary staff, ensuring safe, compassionate patient care and adherence to Alabama nursing regulations.

The role requires ALPN licensure in good standing, current BLS, and at least one year of LPN experience. Evening and weekend shifts may be required to meet patient needs and clinic operations.

Job description

Position Purpose:

To provide high quality, necessary medical care to patients as required or assigned within the scope of nursing practice dictated by the authority of the Alabama Board of Nursing. The LPN functions under the supervision and guidance of the Clinic Director/Provider and participates in the multi-disciplinary process of providing care and treatment to patients and provides clinical support and technical assistance to the medical professional and other staff.

Position Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma/GED.
• Completion of an approved nursing program.
• Current Alabama state license and good standing status with the ALBN.
• Must possess BLS certification at time of hire or within three months of hire.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum two years of experience as an LPN, preferably in a medical practice setting.

• Willingness to participate in training/continuing education opportunities at the request of the employer.
