SUMMARY OF POSITION
Functions as staff LPN utilizing the nursing process with performing comprehensive psychiatric/mental health assessments. Evaluates mental status and refers clients to other treatment providers when necessary. Assumes primary responsibility and accountability for one’s nursing practices as defined in the state specific Code of Nursing Practice, as it pertains to a licensed practical nurse and functions under the supervision of an RN or physician.
Must have the ability to work cooperatively with all staff and physicians and function as a valuable member of the treatment team.
