Job summary

Extended Care in Chicago is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our affiliated facility’s skilled nursing team. You will lead nursing assistants, document resident care, administer medications, and perform daily rounds to ensure quality, safety, and compassionate care for residents.

Qualifications

• Make daily rounds of unit and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

LPN’s must have the following:

• Nursing License required by the state.
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Compliant with the state’s Health Care Worker Background Check requirements with respect to criminal history
• Must be able to relate positively and favorably to our residents and visitors.
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures.
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must be energetic, professional, and reliable.

As a skilled, compassionate LPN, you will:
