Job summary

Country Meadows in Bethlehem Township, PA hires an LPN to join a caring team and support residents in a home-like setting. Pay starts at $35.50/hour with shift differential and the opportunity to earn more based on experience.

As an LPN, you will work with the Charge Nurse to ensure nursing services are delivered, participate in scheduling, and enjoy benefits designed to support work-life balance, including every other weekend and holiday off.

Qualifications

• Must hold a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of employment.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain; employer may fund.
• Leadership abilities and ability to relate to residents and staff.
• Experience in assisted living or health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Makes rounds with physicians and assists with examinations and treatments.
• Administers treatments and medications per physician orders and facility policies.
• Observes residents and reports pertinent information to the Charge Nurse.
• Assumes Charge Nurse responsibilities when the Charge Nurse is absent.
• Participates in hiring and orientation of CNAs.
• Ensure documentation is completed by physicians as required.

LPN Responsibilities:

• Makes rounds with physicians, assisting them in examining and treating residents as necessary. Assist physicians to ensure that all documentation is completed by physician as necessary.


• Administers treatments as ordered according to the physician’s orders and the policies and procedures of the facility.


• Astutely and consistently observes unit and all residents and reports pertinent information to Charge Nurse.


• Assumes Charge Nurse responsibilities in the absence of the Charge Nurse.


• Participates in the hiring process of CNAs and assists in the orientation of new co-workers.


• Administers medications according to the policies and procedures of the facility and in accord with the physician’s orders. Reports any problems concerning a medication order or the administration of the medication to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner.

LPN Requirements:

• LPN license in the state where employed.


• CPR certification, if you do not have one we will pay for you to be certified.


• Must possess a working knowledge of the rules and regulations of the Department of Health pertaining to licensed practical nursing, and the storage and administration of drugs.


• Minimum of one-year experience in assisted living or other health care setting.


• Leadership skills and the ability to form relationships with residents, their loved ones and our co-workers.


• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this type of role.
