Job summary
US Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPMHC) at GS-9/GS-11 levels to provide comprehensive mental health care within the Veterans Health Administration. Responsibilities include intake, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of evidence-based counseling interventions, within an interdisciplinary team framework.
The role requires a CACREP-accredited graduate degree, a current independent license, proficiency in English, and
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in CACREP-accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling or related field.
- Must hold a full, current, unrestricted license to independently practice as an LPMHC.
- English proficiency as per VA policy.
Responsibilities
- Engage in intake and assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and implementation.
- Collaborate on interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Provide counseling interventions across individual, group, or family modalities.
- Maintain clinical documentation and telehealth delivery with compliance to VA standards.
