Job summary

Andrews Center in Texas is seeking a licensed therapist to join All County Out-Patient clinics. The role provides office psychotherapy and psycho-educational services to individuals, groups, and families, and includes screenings, intake evaluations, and treatment planning to meet consumer needs.

The candidate must have a Master's in behavioral science, two years of post-degree professional mental health experience, and state licensure (LPC, LMSW, Ph.D. etc.) is preferred.

Job description

Therapist must have a Master's degree in behavioral science and two-years (2) post-degree professional mental health services experience, including working with seriously mentally ill individuals. Crisis counseling and commitment evaluation experience preferred. Appropriate state licensure is required (e.g., LPC, LMSW, Ph.D., etc.).

Therapist will work in All County Out-Patient clinics. Therapist will provide office psychotherapy and psycho-educational services to individuals, groups, and families. Will perform screenings for services, intake evaluations, plan treatment strategies, and implement treatment. Will work as a team member to provide quality care to consumers to meet the needs of the unit and the center.

Person must be skilled in understanding mental health psychodynamics and in providing psychotherapeutic services to the whole spectrum of mental health consumers and their families. Knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, psychotropic medications, commitment proceedings and referral sources in the community. Ability to present public information programs. Obtain required training. May at times be required to work flexible hours. Skilled in crisis intervention services to consumers and their families.
