Job summary

Keystone Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a propane Tank Technician to be the main point of contact for maintenance, delivery, installation and servicing of propane tanks. You will perform field repairs, troubleshoot leaks, and ensure safe operation of equipment and vehicles in all weather.

The role requires a Class A CDL, HazMat endorsement or ability to obtain, and strong communication skills. Applicants should be self-directed, able to work extended hours and weekends during peak seasons, and

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with acceptable work history.
• HazMat endorsement or ability to obtain.
• Mechanical knowledge related to propane equipment.
• Propane certifications required.
• Proficient verbal and written communication.
• Detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work independently.
• Willing to work extended hours and occasional weekends.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check, including MVR.

Responsibilities

• Install, set, and remove propane tanks and service lines.
• Deliver fuel and assist with transporting fuel as needed.
• Perform field repairs on valves, seals, and lines; troubleshoot leaks.
• Operate equipment and vehicle safely and in compliance with laws.
• Maintain records and complete required paperwork.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate with supervisor.

Job DescriptionPosition Overview: The purpose of this position is to be the main point of contact for propane tank maintenance; this includes delivering, setting, installing, and servicing propane tanks. This position will assist in transporting fuel and other general maintenance, as needed.Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Install and set propane tanks as well as provide removal of tanksConduct field repairs of tank valves, seals, and linesAnalyze and troubleshoot for leaks and repair equipmentDeliver fuel as requiredUnderstand and safely operate equipment and vehicle assignedConsistently follow all laws, regulations, and safety rulesProvide excellent customer serviceMaintain positive communication with the supervisor and customer, as neededProperly complete necessary paperwork and recordsPerform general maintenance and housekeeping of equipment, building, and groundsSkills and Qualifications:Class A CDL with acceptable work historyHazMat endorsement or ability to obtainMechanical knowledgeObtain required Propane CertificationsProficient verbal and written communication skillsDetail oriented and ability to prioritizeAbility to work independentlyWilling to work extended hours and possible weekends during peak seasonsSelected candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including satisfactory MVRPhysical Requirements:Ability to walk a mile, climb steps/ladders and lift up to 75lbsBending and climbing in and out of the truckAbility and willingness to work outside in both hot and cold conditions
