Job summary

Golden State Foods in Conyers, GA is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day maintenance for efficiency, safety, and productivity on 1st shift. You will supervise 10–20 maintenance staff, schedule equipment and spare parts maintenance, design projects to boost productivity, monitor budgets, and ensure compliance with OSHA and USDA standards and company policies.

Strong technical knowledge in electrical, hydraulic, refrigeration, and related systems is required, with experience

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: Up to 18 months of post high school education in engineering or electronics from an accredited vocational, technical, or junior college
• Experience: 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge Of electrical, hydraulic, refrigeration, pneumatic, boiler, and other systems.
• Supervisory concepts and techniques.
• Project management concepts and techniques.
• PC word processing/spreadsheet software applications
• Maintenance in a manufacturing environment
• OSHA, USDA regulations

LP Maintenance Supervisor – 1st shift

JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the day-to-day maintenance activities of a GSF division to ensure that GSF and division objectives for efficiency, economy, quality, and productivity are met or exceeded.

What You’ll Do

• Supervises the day-to-day activities of maintenance staff to expedite work order processing, production breakdown response, efficient project completion, and implementation of other maintenance policies and procedures and to ensure work is performed in compliance with established guidelines for safety and productivity
• Schedules and monitors maintenance of production machinery, related equipment, and spare parts inventory to ensure maintenance standards are met, to minimize down-time, and to meet production schedule requirements.
• Designs or lays out in-house projects to enhance company productivity and reduce down-time.
• Monitors the budget to ensure that maintenance costs are within plan.
• Communicates with maintenance staff and other employees to disseminate maintenance standards and ensure compliance with GSF and regulatory agency standards.
• Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Certification: Up to 18 months of post high school education in engineering or electronics from an accredited vocational, technical, or junior college

Experience: 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.
