Job summary

Golden State Foods is seeking an LP Maintenance Supervisor – 1st shift to lead maintenance teams and ensure equipment reliability at our Conyers, GA facility. You will supervise 10–20 maintenance staff, manage planned maintenance, monitor budgets, coordinate safety/compliance with OSHA/USDA, and drive uptime while supporting production goals.

Qualifications

• Up to 18 months of post high school education in engineering or electronics from an accredited program.
• 3 to 6 years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read diagrams and blueprints.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, refrigeration, pneumatic, and boiler systems.
• Familiar with regulatory requirements and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the day‑to‑day maintenance activities of a GSF division to meet efficiency, economy, quality, and productivity goals.
• Schedules and monitors maintenance of production machinery and spare parts to minimize downtime and meet schedules.
• Designs or lays out in‑house projects to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
• Monitors the budget to ensure maintenance costs stay within plan.
• Communicates with maintenance staff and other employees to ensure safety and compliance with standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

LP Maintenance Supervisor – 1st shift

JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the day‑to‑day maintenance activities of a GSF division to ensure that GSF and division objectives for efficiency, economy, quality, and productivity are met or exceeded.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Supervises the day‑to‑day activities of maintenance staff to expedite work order processing, production breakdown response, efficient project completion, and implementation of other maintenance policies and procedures and to ensure work is performed in compliance with established guidelines for safety and productivity
• Schedules and monitors maintenance of production machinery, related equipment, and spare parts inventory to ensure maintenance standards are met, to minimize down‑time, and to meet production schedule requirements.
• Designs or lays out in‑house projects to enhance company productivity and reduce down‑time.
• Monitors the budget to ensure that maintenance costs are within plan.
• Communicates with maintenance staff and other employees to disseminate maintenance standards and ensure compliance with GSF and regulatory agency standards.
• Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification: Up to 18 months of post high school education in engineering or electronics from an accredited vocational, technical, or junior college

Experience: 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of:

• Electrical, hydraulic, refrigeration, pneumatic, boiler, and other systems
• Supervisory concepts and techniques
• Relevant division or department policies and regulations
• Project management concepts and techniques
• PC word processing/spreadsheet software applications
• Maintenance in a manufacturing environment
• OSHA, USDA regulations
