Job summary

Keystone Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a propane outside sales representative to deliver propane to residential, commercial, and farm accounts with responsibility from first contact to delivery.

You will travel within Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Illinois, ensuring safe, efficient service and building a strong customer base. The role requires a Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, excellent communication, and the ability to manage records and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have acceptable driving record and be able to obtain Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; detail oriented; able to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane to customer locations efficiently, punctually, and safely.
• Provide exceptional customer service and answer inquiries during daily interactions.
• Grow the sales territory by prospecting and building the customer base.
• Prepare and maintain records per regulations and company procedures.
• Operate truck following safety procedures.
• Install, remove, and service as needed.
• Provide backup to Energy department as required.

Job Description Position Overview:

The key responsibilities of this position are outside sales of propane gas to residential, commercial and farm accounts from initial contact through to delivery, which may include tank setting and service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to Deliver propane to customer locations in an efficient, punctual and safe manner During daily interaction with customers, provide exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquires Build customer base within sales territory by utilizing various sales techniques, including prospecting (cold calls) Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures Operate truck in accordance to established safety procedures Perform installation, removal and service as needed Provide back up to Energy department as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

Acceptable driving record and able to obtain Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements Proficient computer skills Proficient verbal and written communication skills Detail oriented and ability to prioritize.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent Outside sales experience and territory knowledge is a plus

Physical Requirements:

Ability to walk 1 to 5 miles, climb steps/ ladders and lift up to 75lbs Bending and climbing in and out of the truck.
