Job summary

Keystone Cooperative, Inc. in Indiana seeks an energetic outside propane sales representative to serve residential, commercial and farm accounts from first contact through delivery, including tank setting and service.

You will build the customer base within your territory, deliver propane safely, provide exceptional service, and handle installation, removal and follow-up support as needed. A valid CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Outside sales experience and territory knowledge is a plus.
• Able to obtain Class A/B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane to customer locations safely and on time.
• Provide excellent customer service and answer inquiries.
• Build customer base within sales territory via prospecting (cold calls).
• Prepare and maintain records per regulations and procedures.
• Operate truck following established safety procedures.
• Perform installation, removal and service as needed.

Position Overview

The key responsibilities of this position are outside sales of propane gas to residential, commercial and farm accounts from initial contact through to delivery, which may include tank setting and service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver propane to customer locations in an efficient, punctual and safe manner
• During daily interaction with customers, provide exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries
• Build customer base within sales territory by utilizing various sales techniques, including prospecting (cold calls)
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures
• Operate truck in accordance to established safety procedures
• Perform installation, removal and service as needed
• Provide back up to Energy department as needed

Skills and Qualifications

• Acceptable driving record and able to obtain Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
• Proficient computer skills
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented and ability to prioritize

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Outside sales experience and territory knowledge is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk 1 to 5 miles, climb steps/ ladders and lift up to 75lbs
• Bending and climbing in and out of the truck
