Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).

• Strong classroom management and organizational skills, including calendar coordination.

• Promptly report any concerns or incidents to the Lower School Office.
• Uphold the guidelines outlined in the Lower School Parent/Student Handbook.
• Adhere to school policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Support a school-wide culture of high expectations, growth mindset, and collaboration.
• Provide feedback to school staff regarding the day’s experience, including the effectiveness of lesson plans and student behavior.

Title: Lower School Substitute Teacher

Reports to: Lower School Principal

Work Year: 10-Month Non-Exempt, Seasonal (As Needed Basis)

The Lower School substitute teacher will serve in a range of grade levels from Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade on an as-needed basis, up to 27.5 hours per week. The Lower School substitute teacher will implement classroom instruction utilizing teacher-provided lesson plans and maintain a positive and structured learning environment. Candidates must demonstrate a love for children, a commitment to Biblical values, and the ability to communicate effectively while managing classroom responsibilities with professionalism and care.
