Gilmour Academy is seeking a passionate STEM/Technology educator for the 2025–2026 academic year. This role involves teaching elementary students in a collaborative environment, focusing on personalized learning and integrating technology. We are seeking a passionate and experienced STEM/Technology educator to join our Lower School faculty for the 2025–2026 academic year. This role focuses on teaching STEM and Technology to elementary students. The ideal candidate is committed to personalized learning, brings creativity and enthusiasm to the classroom, and values collaboration across grade levels and disciplines.
In addition to expressing aptitude and enthusiasm for classroom teaching, excellent candidates will:
Duties/Responsibilities
Minimum of three years of exemplary classroom teaching
Teaching robotics, coding, keyboarding, and digital citizenship to elementary-aged students
Using a wide range of instructional strategies and educational technologies to enhance instruction
Applying data analysis and formative assessments to improve student outcomes
Designing and delivering professional development for fellow educators
Implementing problem-based and student-centered learning approaches
Creating and coordinating special STEM/Robotics events and extracurricular activities
Collaborating with administrators and faculty on technology integration and curriculum development
Demonstrating measurable success in raising student achievement and engagement
Qualifications
Commitment to educating young learners within the Holy Cross tradition
Current Ohio teaching licensure
Master’s degree in Mathematics, Science, STEM, or a related field (preferred)
Deep understanding of student learning theory, including brain-based and differentiated instruction
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Effective planning, organization, and time-management abilities
Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration
