The Head‑Royce Lower School is seeking a dynamic, creative educator to join our kindergarten team in our Lower School division. Our homeroom teachers have a contained classroom of approximately 20 students and deliver content and skills in language arts, social studies, science and math. In addition, teachers use the Responsive Classroom approach, Toolbox and our school’s mission to support social‑emotional and character growth. Our faculty create classrooms that encourage students to participate in experiential learning, take risks, view the world through multiple lenses, utilize innovative tools, and demonstrate proficiencies through a range of assessments that include real‑world problems and performances. Beyond the classroom, teachers are expected to take on Lower‑School‑wide duties and participate in the life of the community.
