Job summary

Charyl Stockwell Academy in Michigan is seeking a passionate Lower Elementary Teacher to join our team for the 26/27 school year, at the Hartland campus. A valid Michigan teaching certificate with an endorsement is required to help students grow in an interdisciplinary, whole-child approach.

The ideal candidate will develop engaging lessons, assess student progress, collaborate with staff, and maintain a positive classroom environment while communicating with families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field.
• Valid Michigan teaching certification/license with endorsement in the grade level.
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans based on curriculum standards.
• Develop assessments and monitor student performance through tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the mission of the institution.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students.
• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff.
