Lower Elementary Teacher (Full-Time)
Location: GT Norman Elementary

GT Norman Elementary is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. This full-time position is for a single-grade classroom, Kindergarten, 1st or 2nd Grade, and offers the opportunity to inspire young learners and foster a love of learning in a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment. We are looking for an educator who is committed to supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of their students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with state standards for the assigned grade level (K, 1st, or 2nd).
  • Create a welcoming, respectful classroom culture that promotes cooperation, curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Assess student learning through both formal and informal methods; use data to guide instruction and support individual progress.
  • Differentiate instruction to support a wide range of learning styles and abilities within the grade level.
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, classroom events, and ways to support learning at home.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to ensure student success and align practices across grade levels.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manage the classroom using proactive, positive behavior strategies to create a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Plan and participate in school events, field trips, and other enrichment activities.
  • Maintain accurate records for attendance, grading, and student documentation as required.
Qualifications
