Job description

Lowboy Driver

Reports to: Equipment Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Pay: Starting at $28.00/hr.

Summary Of Responsibilities
  • Perform duties related to the movement of inventory, materials and heavy equipment.
  • Drive trucks equipped with dump body configurations to transport and dump materials as needed.
  • Load and facilitate movement of equipment using tilt deck and lowboy trailers.
  • Maintain equipment: daily inspection, preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, tire pressure checks, and trailer changes.
  • Secure loads by positioning blocks and tarps.
  • Prepare required documentation accurately and timely: maintain load tickets and detailed time‑sheet records of machine movements.
  • Operate truck safely to and from destination, obey traffic laws, adhere to all safety regulations, report violations promptly, and follow incident reporting procedures.

Physical Demands / Work Conditions

Employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and to climb or balance. Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regular lifting and/or moving of up to 10 pounds, frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds, and occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required: distance vision and depth perception. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, vibration, and moderate noise levels.
