Jim Smith Contracting Co., LLC in Grand Rivers, KY is seeking a seasonal Equipment Transport Driver to safely move heavy machinery on lowboy trailers across highways and job sites. You will plan routes, obtain oversize/overweight permits with the Asset Manager, perform pre/post-trip inspections, log reports, and comply with DOT HOS rules while coordinating with dispatch and project teams.
A valid Class A CDL with a clean record and 2+ years of experience hauling heavy equipment are required.

Drivers are responsible for the safe, proper and efficient completion of assigned duties and operation of the dump truck within company policy and DOT regulations. Travel is regional and drivers report to our Grand Rivers, KY facility each working day. Positions are seasonal, meaning our drivers work normally from April through mid-December. In order to qualify, applicants must have a Class A CDL, must have Lowboy experience and must be able to drive manual shift trucks and have a good Motor Vehicle Report.
