Job summary

American Equipment HR LLC is seeking a full-time Wiring Technician in Salt Lake City, UT. In this position, you will perform wiring and install electrical components for overhead cranes.

The ideal candidate should have knowledge of electrical connections and experience in reading schematics. A 2-year electrical degree or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program is preferred. Competitive hourly wage of $27-$30 is offered.

Position

Wiring Technician in Salt Lake City, UT.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform wiring, running of conduit
• Installation of crane electrical components
• Read schematics from engineering
• Read, interpret and work from drawings from controlled documentation and processes
• Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for your position, well as all safety procedures required at your work-site
• Use material handling equipment(overhead cranes and forklifts) to facilitate wiring
• May travel locally to customer sites to assist with wiring installation
• Wiring/soldering and assembling main and sub-assemblies including panels

Required Skills/Abilities

• The ability to run wire and making electrical connections
• Ability to read and understand schematics
• Knowledge to bend and assemble conduit
• Basic electrical testing knowledge including the use of meters
• Good fine-motor skills and manual dexterity
• Ability to follow procedures and good communication skills

Education/Experience

• Completion of electrical apprenticeship program would be plus
• 2 year electrical degree or associates degree in relevant field would be plus
• Field experience troubleshooting and installing electrical connections

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

27-30 Hourly Wage
