Job Summary:
TeamGOV is seeking experienced Low Voltage Technicians to support a one-month project at Fort Knox involving the physical installation of wireless radios and low voltage cabling. Technicians will be responsible for installing and routing cable through brick buildings, mechanical rooms, and other infrastructure. All connectivity and network configuration will be handled by the internal team—this role is focused on installation only.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and route low voltage cabling for wireless communication devices
Mount wireless radios on building exteriors, rooftops, and mechanical rooms
Drill through brick and concrete walls using hammer drills
Follow site maps or instructions for equipment placement and routing
Ensure clean, secure, and code-compliant cabling installations
Work safely and efficiently at heights and in mechanical spaces
Provide regular updates to site leads and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in low voltage cabling, conduit routing, and equipment mounting
Comfortable working at heights (ladders, lifts, rooftops)
Must possess hand tools and hammer drill for installation through masonry
Able to work independently or in small teams with minimal supervision
Familiar with commercial/industrial environments
Reliable transportation and ability to access Fort Knox (must pass background check)
Qualifications:
OSHA 10 or 30 certification
Experience working on military bases or federal installations
Knowledge of Ubiquity or similar wireless equipment (installation only – no programming required)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Climb ladders, navigate rooftops, and work in tight spaces
Comfortable working in outdoor and mechanical environments
