Job summary

Mason Technologies Inc. seeks experienced Low Voltage Technicians to join our field team on commercial projects across the New York metropolitan area.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of hands-on experience in structured cabling, fiber optics, security systems, CCTV/video surveillance, AV, and conduit installation. This field-based role requires a reliable vehicle, SST and OSHA certifications, and the ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on commercial low-voltage experience required.
  • Must be able to read and interpret low-voltage drawings and project docs.
  • Reliable personal vehicle required; must pass background and drug screening.
  • Willingness to travel to multiple job sites in the Tri-State Area.

Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems and cabling.
  • Work with structured cabling, fiber optics, security, access control, CCTV, AV, and conduit.
  • Pull, route, dress, label, and organize low-voltage cable.
  • Read and interpret drawings and installation plans.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
  • Travel between project sites as required.

Position Overview

Mason Technologies is seeking experienced Low Voltage Technicians to join our growing field team. We are looking for skilled technicians with 4+ years of hands-on experience in one or more areas of commercial low-voltage installation, including structured cabling, fiber optics, security systems, access control, CCTV/video surveillance, AV, and/or conduit installation.

This is a field-based position working on commercial projects throughout the New York metropolitan area. We are open to qualified applicants throughout the Tri-State Area who are willing and able to travel to project sites throughout the region. The ideal candidate is a dependable, technically skilled professional who can work independently, take pride in the quality of their work, and is comfortable working alongside other technicians and project teams.

Responsibilities
  • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems and cabling
  • Work with various low-voltage specialties, including structured cabling, fiber optics, security, access control, CCTV/video surveillance, AV, and conduit
  • Pull, route, dress, label, and organize low-voltage cable
  • Perform copper and/or fiber terminations and testing
  • Install and support security, access control, CCTV, AV, and other low-voltage equipment
  • Install cable tray, J-hooks, sleeves, supports, and other pathways
  • Install and mount low-voltage devices and equipment
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and installation plans
  • Follow project specifications and installation standards
  • Identify and troubleshoot installation issues in the field
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
  • Work independently or as part of a larger field team
  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Foremen, and other technicians
  • Follow all company and job-site safety requirements
  • Travel between various project sites throughout the Tri-State Area as required
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of hands-on commercial low-voltage experience preferred
  • Experience in one or more of the following specialties:
  • Structured Cabling / Data
  • Fiber Optics
  • Security Systems
  • Access Control
  • CCTV / Video Surveillance
  • Audio Visual (AV)
  • Conduit Installation
  • Other Commercial Low-Voltage Systems
  • OSHA and SST certifications required
  • Ability to read and understand low-voltage drawings and project documentation
  • Ability to use common hand and power tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot installation issues and work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of workmanship
  • Reliable personal vehicle required
  • Ability and willingness to travel to multiple job sites throughout the Tri-State Area
  • Ability to work safely on ladders, lifts, and in other field environments
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening

Salary: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
