Job summary

TEKsystems is actively seeking a Low Voltage Technician in Milwaukee, WI to install, service, and troubleshoot commercial low voltage systems across Milwaukee and Kenosha with occasional travel to nearby areas.

The technician will install structured cabling, access control, CCTV, intercoms, and paging systems, delivering on-site customer support with a strong troubleshooting mindset and independent work style.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of low voltage, security, or structured cabling experience.
• Understanding of basic electrical concepts and circuitry.
• Familiarity with Ohm's Law and electrical troubleshooting principles.
• Experience using volt meters and testing equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read technical documentation and installation diagrams.
• Reliable transportation to travel between customer sites.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift equipment and perform physical installation work.

Responsibilities

• Install and service low voltage systems including CCTV, access control, paging, and structured cabling.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide on-site professional support to customers.

TEKsystems is actively looking to hire a Low Voltage Technician in Milwaukee, WI!

Description

Low Voltage Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial low voltage systems throughout the Milwaukee and Kenosha areas, with occasional travel beyond those locations.

The technician will install and service structured cabling, access control systems, CCTV cameras, intercom systems, commercial audio systems, and paging solutions. The ideal candidate possesses strong troubleshooting skills and can work independently while providing professional support to customers on-site.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering long-term career growth with a stable and growing organization. Candidates should have 3-5 years of relevant low voltage or security systems experience and be comfortable handling installs, service calls, and customer interactions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
