Job summary
StructuredWNY is actively seeking an experienced Low Voltage Installer to join our team in person in New York. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage systems across telecommunications, data, security, and audiovisual networks. This is a fast-paced, client-facing position that requires precise technical execution.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years in field work with structured cabling, CCTV, fiber optics, and access control. CDL is required.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of low-voltage installation experience in the field.
- Experience with CCTV, fiber, and structured cabling systems.
- Familiarity with fire systems, access control, CCTV, and other low-voltage networks.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and test low-voltage systems including CCTV, fiber, structured cabling, Ethernet, Cat5/Cat6, and telecoms.
- Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to perform installations.
- Perform fiber splicing and fiber optic system installation for data transmission.
- Troubleshoot equipment using diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify faults.
- Conduct network wiring and equipment termination.
- Maintain and repair CCTV/Fire/Access Control systems.
- Collaborate with clients during field visits to assess needs and provide support.
