Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in low-voltage, security, fire alarm, or related field.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and installation skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools and reading plans.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling and devices.
• Install and configure access control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems.
• Install card readers, door strikes, maglocks, motion sensors, cameras, fire alarm devices, duct smoke detectors, and related equipment.
• Install and program sprinkler monitoring systems and access door fire-release systems.
• Program alarm systems, including profiles, schedules, and system integrations.
• Integrate security systems with home automation platforms when required.
• Diagnose and repair wiring, device, communication, and system issues.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, site maps, and project documentation.
• Complete accurate service and installation documentation.
• Train customers on system operation and mobile applications.
• Assist with training and mentoring installation helpers and junior technicians.
• Communicate effectively with customers, managers, contractors, and team members.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
