Job summary

Kastle Technologies Co., LLC (KTECH), an EMCOR Company, is seeking a Technician in the Dayton area to install low voltage cabling, test and terminate copper and fiber, and install networked systems such as CCTV and access control. You will work from blueprints, follow codes, and maintain safe, organized spaces across multiple job sites.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, knowledge of low voltage ICT, and a valid driver’s license; BICSI/AVIXA certification is desirable but not

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of the Low Voltage Integration or ICT industry.
• BICSI and/or AVIXA certification desirable but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Install low voltage copper and fiber optic cabling.
• Terminate, test copper and fiber cabling systems using certified test equipment.
• Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Repair and install network enabled systems such as CCTV, Access Control, AV Control Systems, Central Sound, Video Management Servers, Projectors, Screens, Interactive Displays, etc.
• Assists in keeping building common and technology spaces in a neat, orderly and safe condition.
• Accomplishes work in accordance with blueprints and specifications, national and local codes and industry standards such as TIA and BICSI.
• Updates as-built drawings as necessary, according to department policies.
• Attend Toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency in addition to any other recommended topics such as harassment prevention, ethics, etc.
• Obtain an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification.
• Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.
