Job summary

All Secured Security Services in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a skilled Low Voltage & Systems Integration Technician to install, configure, maintain, and service integrated security and low-voltage systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, government, and public safety clients.

This role requires experience in physical security technologies, structured cabling, network-connected devices, and electronic system integration.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years installing commercial low-voltage systems.
  • Experience with video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, audio/visual, structured cabling, intercoms, or emergency communications.
  • Ability to terminate and certify CAT5e/Cat6/Cat6A and fiber cabling.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, label, test, and certify copper and fiber optic cabling.
  • Install and configure CCTV systems (IP cameras, NVRs, VMS, analytics).
  • Install and commission access control (cards, readers, strikes, locks, electrified hardware).
  • Install, service, and troubleshoot intrusion detection and alarm systems.
  • Install audiovisual systems (displays, speakers, conferencing, digital signage).
  • Rack installation, cable management, labeling and documentation.
  • Configure IP devices, switches, VLANs, DHCP basics.
  • Test and repair system failures with diagnostic tools.
  • Read drawings and coordinate with PMs, electricians, IT, and end users.
  • Document installations, service reports, as-builts, QC checklists.
  • Maintain vehicle/inventory/tools and participate in after-hours work.

Low Voltage & Systems Integration Technician

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

All Secured Security Services is seeking a skilled Low Voltage & Systems Integration Technician to install, configure, maintain, and service integrated security and low-voltage systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, government, and public safety clients.

This position requires a motivated technician with experience in physical security technologies, structured cabling, network-connected devices, and electronic system integration. Successful candidates are detail-oriented, professional, and committed to delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Install, terminate, label, test, and certify copper and fiber optic low-voltage cabling.
  • Install and configure commercial video surveillance (CCTV) systems, including IP cameras, NVRs, video management software, and analytics platforms.
  • Install and commission electronic access control systems, including:
    • Card readers
    • Credential technologies
    • Electric strikes
    • Magnetic locks
    • Electrified door hardware
    • Request-to-exit devices
    • Door position switches
  • Install, service, and troubleshoot intrusion detection and alarm systems.
  • Install audiovisual systems including displays, speakers, amplifiers, conferencing equipment, and digital signage.
  • Perform equipment rack installation, cable management, and system labeling in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Configure IP-enabled devices, switches, network appliances, and basic VLAN/network settings.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair system failures using diagnostic equipment and software.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, wiring diagrams, floor plans, and specifications.
  • Coordinate installations with project managers, electricians, IT personnel, contractors, and end users.
  • Complete installation documentation, service reports, as-built drawings, and quality control checklists.
  • Maintain company vehicle, inventory, tools, and equipment.
  • Participate in after-hours service calls and scheduled maintenance as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience installing commercial low-voltage systems.
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
    • Video Surveillance (IP CCTV)
    • Access Control Systems
    • Intrusion Detection Systems
    • Audio/Visual Systems
    • Structured Cabling
    • Intercom Systems
    • Emergency Communications
  • Ability to terminate and certify Category 5e, Category 6, Category 6A, and fiber optic cabling.
  • Experience installing conduit, cable tray, J-hooks, surface raceway, and cable support systems.
  • Knowledge of NEC requirements applicable to low-voltage installations.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and work on ladders, lifts, rooftops, and construction sites.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background screening and drug testing.
