H. Stephen Jones & Associates, Inc. (HSJ) is seeking a Low-Voltage Systems Designer to join our team of telecom, security and door hardware experts in Jacksonville, FL.

You will design and document low-voltage systems for large institutional projects, including telecommunications, electronic security, audio/visual, and building automation, from concept through construction. The ideal candidate has strong Revit skills, solid communication and documentation abilities, and experience coordinating

• Design and engineer low-voltage system plans, risers, and details using BIM tools.

• Coordinate low-voltage designs with other engineering disciplines, architects, and consultants.
• Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and provide support during construction administration.
• Conduct site surveys and field investigations.
• Monitor and stay informed on technology trends and industry standards such as BICSI.

H. Stephen Jones & Associates, Inc. (HSJ) is seeking a Low-Voltage Systems Designer to join our team of telecom, security and door hardware experts. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and documentation of low-voltage systems on large complex institutional projects. This includes telecommunications, electronic security (ex: surveillance, duress, access control, intrusion), audio/visual, and building automation systems. Our low-voltage systems designers collaborate with cross-functional teams and take projects from concept through construction, ensuring systems are compliant with all applicable codes and standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and engineer low-voltage system plans, risers, and details using BIM tools
• Prepare project specifications and technical reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred:

• Experience designing low-voltage systems using 3D modeling tools
• Familiarity with codes and standards such as NFPA, NEC, BICSI, and TIA/EIA
• RCDD or CTS certification
• Experience with construction administration or commissioning
• Knowledge of project management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Autodesk Forma (Construction Cloud), Procore, eBuilder
• Ability to commute to Jacksonville, FL
