The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are looking to add a Project Manager to our Low Voltage Construction team in Seattle, WA. This role will focus on delivering Low Voltage Controls projects, including building automation systems (BAS), integrated controls, and smart building solutions-on time and within budget.

You'll join an established, diverse team where you can make an immediate impact. We're looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about problem-solving and driving project success.

What You'll Do:

• Play a key role in managing high-visibility projects, collaborating closely with internal design teams, clients, and field staff to deliver outstanding results.
• Lead project management and engineering activities from design through construction.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and scopes of work.
• Prepare and manage client and subcontractor change orders.
• Monitor, control, and report on the financial performance of projects.
• Coordinate work with trades, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Coach and mentor project team members.
• Develop and maintain project staffing plans, including internal staff, field labor, and subcontractors.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction; Low Voltage Controls experience preferred.
• Prior experience working for a General Contractor or a major Mechanical/Electrical Subcontractor is preferred.
• Experience managing projects involving BAS, building automation, or integrated low voltage systems is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of estimating principles and cost management.
• Proficiency in project financials, cost tracking, and forecasting.

• Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms is a plus.

The pay range for this position is $118,170 - $210,100 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
