Job summary

VIP Systems Inc. is seeking a senior professional to lead programming, integration and commissioning of access control, VMS, intercom, LPR and related systems in Texas. You will verify readiness, run tests, demos and ensure successful handovers with complete documentation.

The role requires 7+ years in commercial security, strong IP networking skills, and a proven ability to mentor field teams. Expect travel across Texas and active sites with occasional evening or weekend support.

Job description

What you’ll do

• Lead programming, integration and commissioning of access control, VMS, intercom, LPR, parking/gate and related systems.
• Verify system readiness before startup: cabling, power, network, panels, addressing and firmware.
• Run commissioning plans, functional and failover tests, acceptance procedures and customer demos.

What you bring

• 7+ years of commercial low-voltage or electronic security experience, including advanced troubleshooting, programming and commissioning.
• Strong proficiency with at least two major commercial security platforms.
• Advanced IP networking knowledge: VLANs, PoE, routing, firewalls, ports/protocols and multicast.
• Ability to read drawings, risers, schematics, network diagrams and specifications.
• Strong documentation habits and proven ability to lead and mentor field teams.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to travel throughout Texas, and ability to obtain any required Texas electronic-security registration.

Nice to have

• Manufacturer certifications: Genetec, Axis, Hanwha Vision, HID, Salto, Motorola Solutions/Avigilon or similar.
• BICSI Technician, Network+, CCNA, fiber certification, NICET or OSHA 30.
• Experience with enterprise, multi-site or high-availability systems in complex environments.

Work environment

Active construction sites and occupied customer facilities, with ladder and lift work, regional driving and occasional overnight travel. Evening, weekend or on-call support may be needed for cutovers and critical service events.
