Job summary

Description

This role serves as the onsite lead for one or more projects, responsible for directing field activities, coordinating team execution, and driving efficiency in the field. This role works closely with customers, contractors, project managers, and internal team members to ensure the successful installation and implementation of video surveillance, access control, structured cabling, paging, and other related physical security solutions. This role is expected to demonstrate strong technical knowledge, maintain quality and safety standards, mentor field personnel, and ensure a positive customer experience throughout project execution.

Roles and Responsibilities / Essential Functions
  • Lead onsite execution for one or more physical security and low-voltage projects.
  • Direct and coordinate field technicians, subcontractors, and other onsite personnel.
  • Review project scope, drawings, schedules, and installation plans to ensure efficient execution.
  • Serve as the primary onsite point of coordination with customers, contractors, and other trades.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with quality standards, safety requirements, and project expectations.
  • Identify field issues, project risks, scope changes, and resource needs and communicate them appropriately.
  • Support project schedule adherence and efficient labor utilization in the field.
  • Perform and oversee installation, testing, and system commissioning activities as needed.
  • Train, mentor, and support the development of physical security team members in the field.
  • Maintain accurate field documentation, redlines, material tracking, and progress updates.
  • Contribute to a positive customer experience through professionalism, responsiveness, and quality execution.
  • Meet annual billable hour goal, as defined by HBS. This number may change over time as the business evolves.

Required Experience
  • 3-5+ years experience with Access Control, Surveillance, and/or Low Voltage Cabling systems and associated hardware/software
Preferred Experience
  • Experience leading teams to accomplish project objectives
  • Experience leading projects with scope, schedule, and budget
  • Experience reading and understanding project requirements and technical drawings
Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic Knowledge of Computers
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools
