Job summary

Next Level Technician in Memphis, TN is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to install, test, and service fire alarm systems. You will pull, terminate, and label cabling, read blueprints, and ensure code compliance on commercial sites.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with fire alarm systems.
• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes.
• Experience troubleshooting panels, devices, and programming fire alarm systems.
• Experience with Siemens, Bosch, Fire-Lite, Silent Knight, and KIDDE systems.
• Edwards and other major manufacturers experience is a plus.
• BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus.
• Basic hand tools and PPE required.
• Willingness to travel within Memphis and surrounding areas.

Fire Alarm Technician – Fire Alarm Systems | Memphis, TN Join Next Level Technician as a Fire Alarm Technician in Memphis, TN! Earn $25–$33/hr, enjoy weekly pay, benefits, and steady work with a national leader in low voltage staffing.

Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, dress, and label fire alarm cable
• Test all installed cable using appropriate testing equipment
• Terminate fire alarm panels and devices
• Read and interpret fire alarm system layouts from blueprints
• Troubleshoot and service existing fire alarm systems
• Work safely on ladders and lifts (comfortable with heights)
• Install and support additional low voltage systems as needed at commercial and industrial sites including schools, hospitals, offices, warehouses, and more

Requirements

• 2+ years demonstrated work history and hands-on knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems
• Understanding of current NEC and NFPA codes and requirements
• Experience troubleshooting panels, devices, and programming fire alarm systems
• Systems experience with Siemens, Bosch, Fire-Lite, Silent Knight, and KIDDE required
• Experience with Edwards and other major fire alarm manufacturers is a plus
• BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus
• Basic hand tools and PPE required (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, and steel-toe boots)
• Willingness to travel to job sites within Memphis, TN, and the surrounding areas as needed
