Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Low Voltage/Fire Alarm/Security Estimator to join our team in the United States. You will prepare estimates for commercial security projects, evaluate bid documents and perform precise takeoffs, while drafting bid sheets and professional proposals.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 7+ years in field installation experience.
  • Must have 3+ years of continuous Estimating experience.
  • Experience required in Physical Security or Alarm field installation environments.
  • Nicet Level II or Higher preferred.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Experience with field, design, or estimating background in Audio Visual is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail required.
  • Proficient with using smartphones and computers, including email, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excel Skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare estimates for commercial security/alarm projects.

  • Perform accurate takeoffs.
  • Prepare Bid Sheets and questions.
  • Write professional proposals.
  • Interact with project managers to gather relevant information to provide firm bids for prospective jobs.
  • Maintain current, accurate information on prices from suppliers and contractors.
  • Maintain Wachter's standard of quality and professionalism.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:
  • Must have at least 7+ years in field installation experience

  • Maintain the company’s high standard of quality and professionalism with regard to workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior, and appearance.
  • Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.

$24 - $40 an hour
